Full job description
Troubleshooting and general maintenance of equipment and general facility upkeep. Capable of operating all machines tools as well as any machinist hand tools or gauging equipment necessary to satisfactorily complete assignments.
Qualified to disassemble, inspect, recondition, repair, and assemble either on component parts or complete machines. Capable of making your own parts as needed to repair/rebuild machines.
Qualified to carry through to completion the rebuild of complete machines.
Knowledge of drills, groovers, grinders, CNC turret machines and CNC lathes.
Knowledge of welding, hydraulics and general electrical schematics. Skills and Competencies

High School Diploma or GED

Must hold a Journeyman classification in the trade as a Machine Repair person OR have served a bona fide apprenticeship under standards acceptable to the UAW and has a certificate to substantiate such services OR have eight years of practical experience and can prove same with proper affidavits or work records. Those with less than eight years may still apply.
