Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our Rotating Parts Lab in Evendale, OH. This is a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role supporting the manufacturing of complex rotating parts with a focus on turning and milling. In this position, you will own a defined portion of project work and be directly involved in fixture design, process layout, machine programming, and hardware execution, while developing and implementing manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems close to the hardware, and can work both collaboratively and independently to drive results.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering efforts forcomplex rotating hardwarewith a focus onmilling and turning

  • Own a defined portion of project work, driving execution from planning through hardware delivery

  • Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes to improvesafety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC)

  • Design and refinefixtures, tooling, and process layoutsto support safe, repeatable, high-quality machining

  • Create, run, and troubleshootmachine programsand support hands-on shop-floor execution

  • Work directly with hardware in alab and manufacturing environment, partnering with operators, machinists, quality, and engineering teams

  • Solve technical manufacturing issues and drive process improvements using sound engineering judgment

  • Provide informal guidance to less experienced team members and contribute to team execution

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing engineering experience)

  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working withcomplex rotating parts

  • Aerospace and/orpower generationmanufacturing experience

  • Experience withcomplex milling and turning of aerospace materials

  • Hands-on experience withfixture design, tooling, and process development

  • Experiencerunning and programming machines

  • Experience machiningtitanium, nickel-based alloys, and other exotic materials

  • NX CAD/CAM experience
