Job Summary

Balance of Plant (BOP) Operations Shift Supervisors play a key role in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. Reporting to the BOP Process Area Manager, you will oversee plant utility processes, guide daily activities, and ensure systems and personnel are operating within approved programs and procedures. In emergency situations, you may also be delegated to gather and communicate critical information to the Incident Commander. This role is central to the successful operation of systems and components that support enrichment activities and utility functions across the facility. You will authorize routine equipment restarts when conditions meet procedural requirements, and your leadership will help maintain a high standard of performance, compliance, and operational readiness.

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will assign, schedule, and guide personnel responsible for equipment monitoring, data collection, and support systems, ensuring all work aligns with approved procedures. You will oversee day‑to‑day activities for compliance, directing operations during normal, off‑normal, and emergency conditions. Clear documentation is essential—you will maintain detailed narrative logs of shift activities and operational changes. You will issue work permits, ensure qualified personnel are available, and support system testing and coordinated activities with other service and construction teams. Instruction and mentorship are key parts of the job, including training employees on operating and test procedures, safety, environmental expectations, Quality Assurance, and security requirements. You will manage materials and supplies, perform change evaluations and reviews, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. Routine walk‑throughs will help you identify and resolve deficiencies. You will oversee operation of plant computerized instrumentation and control systems, assist in developing and validating test plans and training materials, and contribute to the creation and review of technical documentation including procedures, schematics, control narratives, statements of work, system requirements, failure mode analyses, and technical manuals. You will help cultivate a workforce that values inclusion and is welcoming to individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities. This role also requires consistent adherence to company policies, procedures, security expectations, and environmental and safety programs. Other duties will be assigned as needed.
