Full job description

Job Details: ATTN Prior Tyson Workers: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment

Pay: $17.95 with potential for overtime.

Hours: 1st Shift Hours: 6am-4pm

Summary of the Purpose and Objective The team member is responsible for breaking down and setting up the production lines and equipment in conjunction with Sanitation activities.

Description of Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • On shut down break down all lines in preparation for cleaning.
  • After equipment has been cleaned set up the lines for production.
  • Must be able to use various types off tools.
  • Must have basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Work with various chemicals / cleaning agents in a safe manner following all applicable safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Be able to use high pressure water hose and high pressure air wand in cleaning.
  • Clean all equipment in accordance with the SOP’s.
  • Maintain control of all equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for following company policies / procedures written or verbal. Performs all other tasks as assigned
  • . Must complete the Sanitation Training Checklist within the designated training period.
  • Must complete the Sanitation Set-up / Break-down Training Checklist within the designated training period.
  • Maintains good manufacturing practices and personal hygiene.
  • Must adhere to all safety policies.
  • Must be able to work every weekend.
  • Must be able to work a variable schedule and be able to work up to 12 hours in one shift.
  • Must be able to successfully complete scissor lift and fall protection training.
  • Must be able to complete Lock Out / Tag Out training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Team Member will walk, bend and stand.
  • The Team Member will frequently use and move their hands and wrists to perform essential job duties
  • Must be able to tolerate heights up to 30 feet off of the ground on occasion.
  • Must be willing and able to Lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Must be willing and able to move heavy objects (100 lbs.) with mechanical device

Training (Equipment & Methods)

  • Job specific training will be conducted by the Lead / Supervisor.
  • Team members will be evaluated on job performance in accordance with the Training Program SOP (PR 2.4).
  • Training period may exceed 10 days.

Job Safety Analysis

  • Personal Protective Equipment: smock, hair net, ear plugs, chemical resistance gloves, chemical resistant steel toe boots (steel-toe slip resistant boots where applicable),
  • sleeve protectors, face shield, Tyvek suits and safety glasses.
  • Monthly training of a Safety topic and a GMP topic will be conducted by their immediate Supervisor from information provided by the Safety Director and QA Manager.
