About the Team
This role will report to the Production Manager - Drive Module and will lead a team of Mechanics, Electricians and Production Workers; based full time at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank. The Assembly Team forms part of the greater Production team, which includes Painters, Welders, the Prototype Shop, the Armour Shop and the Logistic Systems team. As RDA is continuing to expand, the Production team will continue to grow throughout 2025 and into 2026.
About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager - Drive Module - The Team Lead - Non-Turreted will lead a team to achieve the delivery of allocated work packages in accordance to the Business targets. This role will provide day-to-day leadership by allocating work, monitoring performance, coaching and developing team members and ensuring a safe work environment. Working closely with the Production Manager, quality and other teams along the production floor you will help drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational targets.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

Certificate III in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent ;

Proven experience in a Vehicle, Defence, or other heavy vehicle industry role;

Proven experience in a Team Lead position in a production environment;
-
Detailed knowledge of Assembly technologies and standards relating to assembly tooling and workshop equipment;
-
Demonstrated ability to interpret, technical drawings, work instructions and specifications;
-
Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
