Job Description

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace complex Ford vehicle systems and components using manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and specialized testing procedures. Analyze diagnostic data, fault codes, and vehicle performance to identify root causes of mechanical, electrical, drivability, and system-related malfunctions.Perform advanced repairs, calibrations, and reprogramming of powertrain, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, electrical, and electronic control systems. Inspect vehicles and conduct operational testing to verify repair effectiveness, ensure compliance with Ford standards, and maintain vehicle safety and reliability. Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, testing results, and recommended corrective actions, and communicate technical information to Service Advisors and customers. Coordinate with the Parts Department to identify and obtain required components needed to complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Apply Ford Master Technician expertise and manufacturer certifications to resolve complex vehicle issues and ensure compliance with engineering, safety, and warranty requirements. Perform repairs and maintenance on advanced vehicle technologies, including high-voltage, hybrid, electric vehicle, and electronic control systems. Provide technical guidance to technicians and apprentices regarding diagnostic procedures, repair methods, safety practices, and manufacturer standards. Maintain current technical expertise through Ford factory training, certification renewals, technical service bulletins, and continuing education on emerging vehicle technologies.

Requirements: 5 years of experience in job offered or related. Ford certifications/designations: Master Technician; Engine Master-Gasoline; Diesel Engine Master; and Chassis Master.
