Paid Social Senior Account Executive
Agency: WPP Media Discipline: Paid Social Location: London (Hybrid) Reporting to: Paid Social Account Manager
Role Overview
The Paid Social Senior Account Executive is a key delivery role within WPP Media’s Paid Social team. Sitting between Account Executives and Account Managers, this role takes greater ownership of campaign activation, optimisation, and client delivery while supporting junior team members.
The Senior Account Executive is expected to operate with confidence across platforms, contribute meaningfully to performance strategy, and play an active role in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and service across accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Social Activation & Optimisation

Own the end‑to‑end activation of paid social campaigns across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and X.

Manage campaign build, trafficking, QA, optimisation, and budget pacing with minimal supervision.

Identify performance trends and proactively implement optimisation recommendations to improve results against KPIs.

Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with platform and internal best practices.
Performance & Reporting

Produce high‑quality weekly and monthly performance reports, clearly articulating results, insights, and next steps.

Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for optimisation, testing, and strategic improvement.

Deliver clear performance updates to internal stakeholders and support Account Managers in client readouts.
Client & Account Support

Act as a trusted day‑to‑day contact for clients, supporting Account Managers with communication and delivery.

Respond confidently to client requests and contribute to problem‑solving and recommendations.

Support campaign planning and briefing processes by providing platform‑led insights and feasibility guidance.
Team Collaboration & Development

Support and mentor Account Executives, providing guidance on activation, QA, and best practice.

Contribute to team knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work collaboratively with planning, creative, and analytics teams to ensure seamless delivery across channels.
Skills & Experience
Essential
-
Strong experience activating and optimising paid social campaigns in an agency or performance marketing environment.

Hands‑on expertise across major paid social platforms, particularly Meta and TikTok.

Solid understanding of performance metrics, optimisation levers, and testing approaches.

Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to explain performance clearly and concisely.
Desirable
-
Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members.
-
Platform certifications (Meta, TikTok, etc.).

Experience working across multiple clients or complex accounts.
