Date Available: Saturday, December 5 9am-1pm (this date/time is flexible) Sunday, December 6 9am-1pm (this date/time is flexible) Monday, December 7 3-11pm Wednesday, December 9 3-11pm Tuesday, December 15 3-11pm
Wages: Stipend
Assignment: Lead engaging, hands-on baking classes. Select appropriate recipes, prepare materials, and facilitate individual Bake & Take sessions with the Adult Program Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate baking recipes that align with participant skill levels
- Review and test recipes ahead of time and make appropriate adjustments
- Assist with prep work the weekend before classes
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up before and after classes
- Facilitate sessions by demonstrating techniques, providing support and creating a welcoming environment.
- Monitor kitchen and food safety
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for participants of all baking levels.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with baking
- Previous experience leading groups, teaching or facilitating programs preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage a group in a hands-on environment
- Knowledge of basic kitchen safety and food handling
