Job Description

Celestica is seeking a hands-on Senior HR Business Manager to support its growing Hardware Platform Solutions (HPS) and Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) organizations. This role serves as the primary HR partner for engineering leaders across North America, supporting a rapidly expanding team, including approximately 200 engineers in Austin. The ideal candidate is a working leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, balancing strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day operational execution, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner supporting HPS and ATS engineering leaders across North America.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including requisition creation, candidate reviews, interviewing, offer approvals, onboarding, promotions, and talent planning.
  • Manage I-9 compliance, E-Verify processes, onboarding activities, and other HR operational functions.
  • Partner closely with managers on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent strategy initiatives.
  • Support performance management processes including calibrations, performance reviews, and talent assessments.
  • Assist leaders with compensation planning and internal movement decisions.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and advise leaders on complex employee issues.
  • Support high-potential leadership development programs and rotational talent initiatives.
  • Drive annual HR initiatives and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with global HR partners and Centers of Excellence, including immigration and talent acquisition teams.
  • Travel periodically to support various North American locations and business initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Management experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering, software engineering, technical, manufacturing, or product development organizations.
  • Strong working knowledge of employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation planning, and organizational development.
  • Hands-on experience with I-9 compliance and E-Verify.
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly reactive, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen, executive presence, and leadership maturity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Current knowledge of employment law and HR compliance best practices.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or CHRP certification.
  • Experience supporting hardware, manufacturing, data center, networking, telecommunications, automotive, or advanced technology organizations.
  • Immigration and work authorization experience.
  • Experience supporting large engineering populations.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business Administration.
  • Experience working within global organizations and matrixed environments.
  • Background partnering with senior engineering and technical leaders.
