Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Lead and supervise warehouse associates during the assigned shift Serve as the primary leader on the floor, ensuring productivity, safety, and operational goals are achieved Spend the majority of the shift walking the warehouse floor, coaching employees and addressing issues in real time Monitor shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency Utilize WMS and operational data to identify trends, improve performance, and drive accountability Manage employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct difficult conversations when necessary Troubleshoot conveyor system-related workflow issues and escalate equipment concerns appropriately Track and communicate shift performance metrics to warehouse leadership Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse operation

Skills and Requirements

Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in a distribution, logistics, or warehouse environment Experience leading teams of 10+ employees in a fast-paced operation Shipping and receiving supervision experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to be the primary floor leader and decision maker for the operation Experience utilizing WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) to analyze data, drive performance, and make operational decisions Ability to coach employees, address performance concerns, and manage difficult conversations professionally Hands-on leadership style with the expectation of spending the majority of the shift on the warehouse floor Experience overseeing conveyor-based warehouse operations Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, productivity metrics, and operational performance management Ability to multitask and quickly resolve operational issues in a high-volume environment Experience within food distribution, grocery, or high-volume distribution centers Background managing larger teams of 20+ employees Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization Exposure to multiple warehouse functions including inventory, replenishment, and outbound operations Transportation leadership experience combined with warehouse supervision experience Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence experience
