Job Description
Insurance Services Office, Inc. seeks a Senior Actuarial Associate in Jersey City, NJ.
Duties:
- Serve as actuarial lead on product development efforts as we enhance the design, architecture, and data content for the deliverables from our insurance rating products [50% of time]
.• Compile actuarial metrics and KPIs from our data to create new actuarial intelligence documents that bring more market context to our clients and augment their strategic planning [10%of time].

Support the marketing initiatives for new product launches, and help bridge the gap between the holistic value statements and technical benefits [10% of time].

Collaborate with line of business experts and other technical leads to understand our existing services and find ways to help our clients overcome common challenges [10% of time].

Use data for storytelling to identify the insights that are important to our customers and colleagues, and find creative ways to communicate that information [20% of time].
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
Additionally requires 4 years of experience in each of the following:
-Property and casualty insurance.
-Programming in at least one of the following: SQL, Python, or R.
-Business intelligence tools in at least one of the following: PowerBI, Tableau, or ThoughtSpot.
-Design tools in at least one of the following: Figma, Miro, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Work from home permitted 1-2 days per week. Must work at employer’s office in Jersey City, NJ other days.
