HR Generalist

Layton, UT

$70K+ DOE | Full Benefits | Growth Opportunity

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Fully Onsite

A stable, growing manufacturing leader is seeking an HR Generalist to join its team in Layton, Utah. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, supporting employees, and contributing to a positive, people-focused workplace culture.

This role offers the chance to work alongside strong leadership within a collaborative environment that values continuous improvement, employee engagement, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees regarding benefits, payroll, policies, and HR-related questions

  • Maintain personnel files, training records, new hire paperwork, benefit enrollments, and terminations

  • Track and manage absence records, workers’ compensation claims, FMLA, vacation requests, and time-off documentation

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and talent assessments

  • Coordinate employee events, safety training initiatives, and performance management support

  • Perform HR administrative duties, including filing, data entry, payroll updates, and reporting

  • Order and distribute uniforms and safety supplies

  • Support HR projects and initiatives that contribute to company growth and employee engagement

  • Maintain confidentiality while supporting a professional and positive workplace environment

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of HR administrative or HR support experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and employee support

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
