Full job description

Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to drive technical sales growth for magnetic components in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. This position combines customer-facing business development with hands-on engineering support, helping clients identify effective inductor and transformer solutions for their applications. The role also partners closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver responsive technical guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with customers to identify application needs and present magnetic product solutions that support new and existing business opportunities.

  • Develop inductor and transformer designs tailored to customer specifications, ensuring recommended solutions align with technical and commercial objectives.

  • Partner with direct sales channels and distributor teams to evaluate account plans, uncover growth opportunities, and shape strategies that increase revenue.

  • Deliver technical instruction and product guidance to sales engineers, customer service teams, and distribution partners to improve market effectiveness.

  • Create and carry out business development plans focused on expanding market share and increasing product adoption in targeted applications.

  • Represent the company in customer meetings, presentations, trade events, and industry conferences while promoting the brand in new design opportunities.

  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, production, quality, and customer support teams to resolve issues, support quotations and samples, and maintain service excellence.

  • Manage customer concerns, including complaints and product returns, by coordinating timely follow-up and corrective action with internal stakeholders.

  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms that balance customer expectations with profitability goals.

  • Travel as needed for customer visits, trade shows, and related business activities, with expected travel up to 40%.

Requirements • At least 5 years of experience in sales engineering, application engineering, technical support, or a related customer-facing engineering role.

  • Demonstrated ability to support the sale of technical products by translating customer requirements into practical engineered solutions.

  • Experience with application support, application design, configuration, and component-level technical problem solving.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers, sales partners, and internal teams.

  • Proven success working collaboratively across sales, engineering, quality, marketing, and production functions.

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% for customer engagement and industry events.

  • Fluency in German, Italian, or Spanish is preferred.

  • Familiarity with computer hardware and enterprise technology environments, including exposure to platforms such as Active Directory or Dell Technologies, is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
