Family Office Accountant | Menlo Park; Hybrid

Join a private, multigenerational family office building a more sophisticated infrastructure to support significant family wealth. This is a high-visibility, entrepreneurial role with direct exposure to the principal and broad involvement across accounting, finance, tax, estate planning, banking, and advisors.

Ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, ownership, and building processes from the ground up. Strong compensation, bonus potential, and the opportunity to grow with the family office as responsibilities expand in-house.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting across family entities, trusts, and holding companies

• Manage bill pay, AP, GL, reconciliations, and cash flow

• Support budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis

• Coordinate with CPAs, attorneys, banks, investment managers, and advisors

• Support tax and estate planning coordination

• Maintain organized financial records across entities

• Identify process gaps and build more efficient workflows

• Take ownership of special projects and evolving family office needs

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience with family office, private client, HNW

• Strong GL, reconciliation, bill pay, and financial reporting experience

• Experience with multiple entities, trusts, or holding companies

• Experience working directly with a principal, family, or business owner preferred

• Strong Excel, organization, judgment, and discretion

• Highly proactive and self-directed “figure it out” mindset

• CPA a plus, not required
