Asset Manager | Construction Lending

📍 Pleasant Grove, UT | Remote Possible 🕘 Full-time | 9–5 schedule 💵 $75,000 – $85,000 DOE

This isn’t just loan administration. As an Asset Manager at CoFi, you’ll play a critical role in shaping a modern, data-driven construction finance ecosystem while partnering across Lending, Servicing, Capital Markets, Product, and Data as we scale nationwide.

What You’ll Do The position reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer In this role, you will: Portfolio Oversight & Risk Management

  • Own ongoing portfolio health across active construction loans.
  • Identify early risk signals, liquidity concerns, and anomalies.
  • Monitor terms, rates, extensions, budget changes, and payoffs.
  • Validate accuracy of loan data (rates, margins, covenants) and documentation.

Loan Administration & Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate Maturity extensions.
  • Ensure communication and alignment between Origination, Servicing, and Capital Markets.
  • Maintain high data integrity across CoFi systems and data lake.

Draw & Construction Progress Validation

  • Review draw activity and construction progress.
  • Resolve discrepancies with Servicing teams and builders.
  • Flag unusual draw patterns and project deviations.

Borrower & Builder Communication

  • Serve as a trusted, knowledgeable point of contact for our clients and builders.
  • Set clear expectations and provide timely, professional communication
  • Build strong working relationships with borrowers and builders.

Reporting & Data Quality

  • Maintain accurate data feeding dashboards, investor reporting, and internal insights.
  • Partner with Product and Data teams to improve tools, workflows, and controls.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Support Capital Markets with draw reporting and advance requests.
  • Assist Finance with interest revenue forecasting and delinquency monitoring.
  • Provide feedback to Product on system gaps and enhancement opportunities.
  • Flag identified Risk issues to Underwriting and Origination

  • Loans advance smoothly with fewer surprises.
  • Portfolio data is accurate, timely, and trusted.
  • Builders and borrowers feel supported and informed.
  • Leadership has confidence in portfolio health and reporting.

What You Bring

  • Experience in construction lending, real estate finance, loan servicing, or portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical judgment—even with imperfect information.
  • Clear, confident, professional communication.
  • High attention to detail; strong ownership of data quality and documentation.
  • Ability to manage a large, dynamic portfolio and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with construction budgets, timelines, and risk indicators (strong plus).
  • Bonus: Experience with Power BI, inspections, and construction draws.
