Standard Job Description
This position will provide portable, perishable and standard tool engineering support related to hole preparation and cold working applications to multiple programs including F35, F16, C130 and others. Along with daily support to various production, MOD and Sustainment customers, this position will also coordinate closely with Tool Services, Tool Repair and other EDTI personnel in Fort Worth Texas, Marietta Georgia, Greenville South Carolina and Palmdale California to research, analyze, and/or develop assembly hole preparation and cold working processes and will assist with the integration of best practices and standardization efforts to improve performance, quality and reduce cost. The successful candidate will interface, and provide technical assistance and guidance as needed, with Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Tool Services and Shop Floor Personnel. Intermittent travel may be required to support other Lockheed Martin facilities including domestic and international production partners.
Designs, develops and implements industrial machinery and equipment, tools, dies, gauges, jigs, fixtures, prototype model production and machine attachments required for production or experimental use, considering such factors as accessibility, economy, mobility, and performance requirements. May use CAD/CAM to design tools.
Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Basic Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of portable, perishable processes, tools and equipment common to aircraft production.

Min. 1 year Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.

Min. 1 year experience in resolving engineering, production, tooling, and other assembly issues related to aircraft structural assemblies.

Experience with PDM, Apriso, Catia V5, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with the use of A3 problem solving techniques and associated tools.
Desired Skills

Experience and knowledge of portable and perishable tools and their application common to aircraft structure assembly processes.

Knowledge of F35 and F16 manufacturing, and hole preparation processes.

Ability to work individually and within a teaming environment.

Demonstrated creative approach to technical problem solving.

Exhibit strong communication skills among peers and through different levels of management.

Experience reading and interpreting blueprint, process and engineering requirements.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
