Full job description

Bethlehem Central School District is currently seeking applications for a School Monitor (Aide to Students with Disabilities) position, effective September 2, 2026. Vacancy is currently at Elsmere Elementary School, located at 247 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY and is 6.25 (8:45am - 3:30pm) hours per day, Monday through Friday when school is in session. Starting salary is $19.19 per hour, and upon completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Schools (TCIS) Training, candidates will receive the higher rate of pay at $23.11 per hour.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Successfully completed Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with disabilities in school or related settings

  • Completion of training in behavior management, crisis intervention, or use of assistive technology
