Full job description

What We Offer

  • Schedule: Part-time (24 hours), Three 8 hour shifts within a window of monday-friday, schedule will vary between 7:30A-4P, 8A-4:30P & 8:30A-5P based on unit need. Scheduling done on a 6 week time tract. There will be occasional weekend call requirements (approx. every 13th weekend), & 1 holiday of call per year. This will be discussed further during interview.

  • Department: Primarily PACU, cross trained to preop and may work preop as needed.

  • Location: Medical Park Hospital- 1950 South Hawthorne Road, Winston- Salem, North Carolina

  • Unit Info: Recovering patients for a range of different procedures. Facility has 11 OR's, 11 preop bays and 8 PACU bays.

  • Requirements: This position requires at least 1 year of critical care or preop/PACU experience.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions.

  • Assess and manage airway, breathing, circulation, pain levels, and vital signs.

  • Identify and respond to post-operative complications or changes in patient condition.

  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe recovery.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
