Maintenance Trainee (1st Shift) New Holland Plant

Job Details: Maintenance Trainee The Maintenance Mechanic trainee is responsible for learning a variety of technical tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, equipment and structural facilities. If you are mechanically inclined, have some mechanical experience, and are interested in expanding the experience and knowledge that you have, consider becoming a maintenance trainee. Individual must be willing to work in any shift available after the training has been completed.

Duties Trainees must be willing to attend weekly training which consists of a combination of Computer Based Training (CBT), Lab Based Training, Floor Demonstrated skills and OJT. Must have some mechanical experience preferably in a manufacturing plant and/or formal completion of education in a comparable trade. Keep machinery in working order to maintain continuous production.  Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirement:

• Twelve months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment or completion and verifiable formal schooling in a specific trade.
• Must have extensive fabrication and mechanical experience.
• Welding, boiler, and electrical experience preferred.

Rehire Consideration:

• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
• 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
