About the Role

The Communication Liaison is a critical role in ensuring patient and client advocacy while coordinating with internal Team Members for the best possible outcomes for pets. In essence, you will be the "human touch" and organizational hub, ensuring clarity and compassion in high-stress veterinary environments.

Responsibilities Key to Your Success

  • Client Communication: Facilitate the hospital team's ability to work as efficiently as possible with minimal interruption by managing the flow of basic communication, including updates and information flow through the appropriate channels.

  • Internal Coordination: Communicating client needs and concerns from "front of house" to "back of house" and vice versa.

  • Process Improvement: Developing and refining communication protocols to reduce client stress and improve efficiency. Work closely with the Care • Navigation Team to ensure a streamlined, well-organized, and comfortable experience for each client and their pet.

  • Patient Advocacy: Acting as the client's advocate, ensuring their questions are answered, and care is compassionate by being the friendly and professional voice of Arista Advanced Pet Care Hospital.

  • Demonstrate and uphold Arista's Core Values and Hospital Mission

  • Demonstrate professionalism and compassion toward patients, clients, and colleagues, especially during stressful situations

  • Maintain confidentiality of patients, clients, colleagues, and business information

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, professional licensure, safety, controlled substance, and hospital policy and requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills for in-person, telephone, video, email, and texting

  • High emotional intelligence and highly personable and flexible communication style to serve the needs of pet owners as well as general practice, specialty, and emergency veterinary teams

  • Strong active listening and empathy skills

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and processes

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated for an efficient working style

  • Commitment to exceptional customer service, high-quality care, and overall excellence

  • Flexible, tenacious, and resourceful

  • Full-Time, In-Person Position

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed

  • Frequent sitting

  • Ability to meet any position-specific screening requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire
