How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Provide expert, direct nursing care for high-acuity patients in the immediate post-operative period, maintaining strict adherence to AORN/ASPAN standards and aseptic techniques.

  • Evaluate physiological responses to anesthesia and surgical interventions, utilizing clinical expertise to anticipate case-specific needs and potential complications based on complex pathophysiology.

  • Implement aggressive, individualized pain management strategies and therapeutic interventions to stabilize patients during the most vulnerable phase of surgical recovery.

  • Function as a vigilant advocate in a Level 1 setting, continuously assessing patient stability to ensure safe transitions and optimal outcomes in a high-volume surgical environment.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Clinical Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • 1+ years of ICU/ED/PACU RN experience

  • ACLS

  • PALS
