Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

This role focuses on software and hardware testing within a connected device environment. The individual will convert legacy manual and automated test scripts into an existing PyTest automation framework, perform API testing using ReadyAPI, and validate data transmission from embedded devices through gateways to cloud platforms. They will troubleshoot device communications by analyzing CAN messages, review large volumes of telemetry and device-generated data to verify system performance, and support testing efforts for physical hardware devices that collect, process, and transmit data across the connected ecosystem.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of automated testing experience using Python and PyTest
• Experience testing embedded hardware devices
• API testing experience
• Experience reading, analyzing, and debugging CAN protocols
• Specifically, CAN communication protocols
• RF/Wireless testing experience (WiFi, antenna-based devices)
• HIL (Hardware-in-the-loop) testing or fixture experience
• Linux environment experience
