Job Description

This IT Project Manager will lead the execution of technology deployments onboard ships during scheduled dry docks. While Marine runs the dry dock, this PM owns the IT scope, delivering network, Wi-Fi, infrastructure, application, and security upgrades while the ship is out of service. They will manage multimillion-dollar budgets, coordinate multiple vendors and internal teams, drive daily status and financial reporting to leadership, and communicate downtime and outages across shipboard stakeholders. The role requires living onboard for extended deployments in a demanding construction environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, organized leader with a strong infrastructure background who stays calm under pressure and can keep complex projects on track.

Skills and Requirements

  • Around 5 years of IT project management experience (flexible for the right background)

  • Managing large-scale, complex IT projects, primarily infrastructure (about 90% of scope is infrastructure; applications background can work if infrastructure is strong)

  • Solely owned a budget of at least $1M; actual projects range from $3.8M to $15M• Strong budget management and financial/status reporting to senior leadership, including multiple budgets per project

  • Coordinating 6 to 8 vendors and up to 15 internal and external teams at once Able to live and work onboard for roughly 8 weeks at a time, 1 to 2 times a year, with long days and occasional overnight work

  • Technical background in network or infrastructure paired with proven PM and leadership skills

  • Experience with tracks such as network, Wi-Fi, POS, CCTV/global security, end user refresh, and RFPs

  • Hospitality or cruise systems experience (e.g., Fidelity)

  • Experience in construction, marine, or other field-heavy environments Experience managing projects in live, operating environments with planned downtime
