Location: Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary: Geisinger, a nationally recognized leader in innovation and quality care, is seeking Gastroenterology Hospitalists to join our teams in Scranton, PA Job Duties: Join our team in our Northeast (Scranton) Region. The GI hospitalist position will offer support to our growing teams in these areas. Enjoy the flexibility and great work/life balance of a 7on/7 off schedule with all the support of a well-established, stable team of Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, and Advanced Practitioners.

At Geisinger, our Gastroenterologists:

  • Fully integrate with our robust electronic health record (EPIC) and ProvationMD.
  • Work closely with mature multi-disciplinary teams.
  • GI Hospitalists focus on acute care gastroenterology with minimal outpatient procedures
  • No outpatient clinic responsibility
  • Dedicated PA/NP support
  • All procedures supported by CRNA
  • Opportunities for teaching and research if desired.
  • Part of a large integrated health network

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required) Experience:
