Overview
Saint Joseph Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited 489-bed facility and the leading hospital in the Joliet area, where we offer comprehensive specialty and 24/7 emergency care, complemented by our Level II trauma center. Our expert surgical teams are equipped to handle serious and life-threatening conditions, ensuring that your health needs are prioritized through attentive listening and tailored care. Our OB/GYNs and maternity care specialists are dedicated to providing a personalized birthing experience alongside advanced neonatal care for infants in need. With a commitment to innovation, we offer a variety of minimally invasive procedures utilizing robotic-assisted technology, along with extensive imaging and lab testing, all conveniently located on one campus, which also features a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation center.
Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer carries out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board consisted with the philosophy and practices of the Hospital. Responsible for planning, organizing and influencing department activities and assuring financial records of the Hospital are maintained following generally accepted accounting standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance or closely related field.

Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.

Progressively responsible position in the Accounting profession.

Familiarity with computer accounting programs.

CPA preferred
-
Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organization preferred.

Five to seven years’ experience in hospital accounting/finance required; two years in management preferred.

Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.

Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems and plant operations.

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $220,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
