Introduction

In this role, you will investigate the feasibility of applying software engineering and computational skills towards state-of-the-art chip architecture, design, fabrication and advanced chip packaging. Background knowledge of computer science, data science, machine learning or other computational techniques are ideal skills for this role. Interns are expected to have the ability to analyze complex problems and apply creative solutions.

Your role and responsibilities

IBM Research is seeking intern candidates who want to apply their classroom learnings to real world challenges. As a Software Engineer Intern in semiconductor research, you will work with world-class global researchers focused on enabling electronic design.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Computer Science

  • Mechanical Engineering

Preferred technical and professional experience

Prior programming, computational or data analysis experience through projects or coursework.
