Summary

About the Position: This position is for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), AMCOM Logistics Center, AMCOM Field Maintenance Directorate. Serves as Division Chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel. The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14. Capped at GS-14 step 10.

Duties

  • Serves as deputy or division chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel.
  • Directs, develops, and/or implements logistics policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon or information systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.
  • Develops milestones for projects.
  • Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
  • Evaluates performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel and/or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters.
  • Develops performance standards.
  • Exercises full authority as a member of the pay pool management, in assessing contribution and preparing statements of duties and experience for Demonstration employees.

Specialized experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/ GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Applying advanced concepts, principles, practices, and regulations pertaining to the field of logistics management related to weapon system project/programs; 2) Logistics Contract Experience to support requirements, Budget planning/execution; and 3) Providing leadership or managing logistics supply and maintenance, weapon system programming and allocation while overseeing materiel acquisition policy in order to integrate the separate logistics functions. THIS IS A CAP POSITION: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Highest category of certification in the applicable functional area, except for Program Management, which requires Practitioner or higher category certification. Incumbent must execute 3-year tenure agreement, except as tailored by the CAE. GS-14 or equivalent/O-5 level or above 4 years of acquisition experience
