Fitness Lead, Yoga On The Lake

Work Mode: Onsite

**Location: ** Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Under the direction of the Manager, Yoga on the Lake, the Fitness Lead is responsible for

managing the daily operations of assigned areas, ensuring high levels of service are

maintained. With exceptional knowledge of all services and processes, the Lead will prepare

and empower their team with clear goals, training, feedback, and development.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Serve as the department lead with weekly designated administrative time (payroll) combined with service time.

  • Expectation to teach and be an active Fitness Instructor while also leading the respective department.

  • Supervise department staff including performance feedback, goal setting, training and retraining, department staff meetings, and associate communication.

  • Help manage schedules and appointments of associates. Ensure class shifts have coverage as needed.

  • Coordinate and maintain the scheduling of class schedule as part of schedule optimization team.

  • Conduct interviews, onboard new associates, conduct 90-day and annual performance reviews, and effectively manage associate performance.

  • Assist in managing the department budget by providing data, reports, and documentation.

  • When providing services, operate at or above expectations.

  • Ensure all associates are meeting or exceeding the standards and expectations of their assigned roles.

This is a casual part-time position working weekdays between 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Skills/Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma along with nationally accredited certification in eachrespective area is required. College degree in a related field preferred for Fitness Lead.

  • Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

  • Fitness Lead: Minimum of two group fitness discipline certifications required.

  • CPR/AED Certification required within 3 months of hire.

  • Minimum of 4+ years of industry experience required.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.

  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop others.

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays strongly preferred.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The hourly range for this position is $18.30 - $27.50. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
