Overview

Department: Gadsden Physician Management

Shift’s Available:  Days - Thursdays only

Employment Type: PRN or Per Diem

Hours: 8-hour

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Riverview Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL. The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. The NP must be Wound Care Certified WCC or WOCN for this role.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding.

  • Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories.

  • Providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • MSN with specialization as an ARNP

  • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse

  • BLS upon hire and maintain current

  • Previous experience with electronic health record.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
