• Working in conjunction with functional business areas and information technology gathers, compiles, and synthesizes information for technology processes or systems related to Immunization operations Section
• Makes recommendations or assists in making recommendations for development or enhancement of existing SIMON system
• Analyzes IIS/ section’s user needs to assess technical feasibility and solutions.Translates IIS related IT needs into functional business specifications.
• Assists in creating and executing processes and procedures that ensure that all systems, products, and services meet agency standards and end-user requirements.
• Test the upgraded productions or interfaces of SIMON developed by the external and internal vendors/ department/sections.
• Analyzes current processes and procedures to make recommendations for future configurations which lead to gains in efficiency and cost savings
• Serves as a basic subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures.
• Prepares user documentation including user manuals.
• Works as a liaison between functional business areas and IT in order to provide solutions for routine problems.
• Perform simulations or recreations of user problems to resolve operating difficulties and identify problems at a moderately complex level.
• Involved in the system development life cycle to include designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting software, regression testing, and deployment.

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience.

Agency Additional Requirements: At least a high school diploma and three (3 )years of job experience in computer system development and modification.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Prefers a master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or Health Promotion and Education and two (2) years of experience in managing and working in registry or health informatics.
