This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Lexington County Community Mental Health Center, 301 Palmetto Park Blvd, Lexington, SC 29072.

Under general supervision, provides supervision and coordination of all front office operations for the Center.Responsibilities for the Administrative Coordinator I:

  • Responsible for the supervision of front office personnel. Schedule work assignments to ensure proper support staffing at all location offices. Complete EPMS planning stages and evaluations correctly and in a timely manner. Adheres to BHDD policies and procedures regarding supervision.
  • Ensure front offices meet financial compliance requirements (i.e. completion of financial updates on time, verification of insurance/Medicaid at each appointment, ABNs completed as appropriate, etc.) Responsible for obtaining, verification, and getting preauthorization for all insurance clients for LCCMHC and working with the procedures and data entry. Conduct quarterly front office financial audits and business/financial record audits for all satellite offices.
  • Assist all clinics in meeting center patient care hours standards and goals (i.e. ensure reminder calls are consistently made for all appointments, follow up letters for missed appointments, manage schedules for all clinical and medical staff including backfilling of appointments, manages will call list for each staff, etc.)
  • Ensure support staff provide exceptional customer services to all clients of LCCMHC. Train all staff on appropriate customer service and address any issues related to customer service immediately and proactively with staff.
  • Comply with Corporate Compliance policy; all State and Federal laws; all Agency and Center policies and procedures. Help ensure area is CARD accredited.
  • Pursue professional development through collegial consultation, supervision, continuing education, training, and licensure/certification as applicable.

A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Additional Requirements:• Will require travel to satellite clinics. Valid SC driver's license and ability to operate a state vehicle is required

  • Position is essential and may be called back during a crises/disaster/emergency

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Post hire, employees must have: • Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, rules, regulations and program services related to the specific administrative function.

  • Familarity of governmental fiscal and personnel procedures, practices and policies.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to coordinate diverse administrative functions.
  • Effectively establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of subordinate personnel.
  • Capable of communicating effectively.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer services.
  • Knowledge of front office operations in a healthcare entity to include HIPAA regulations.
