Full job description

CTG is seeking to fill a Rotating Equipment Planner position for our client.

Location: Baytown, TX

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, and cooling towers.

  • Develop detailed work plans, job estimates, task lists, Bills of Material (BOMs), work instructions, and safety requirements.

  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance, vibration monitoring, lubrication programs, and equipment reliability initiatives.

  • Coordinate maintenance resources, contractors, production teams, materials, and spare parts.

  • Manage maintenance backlogs and identify recurring equipment issues for reliability engineering.

  • Document and close maintenance work in SAP-PM and related systems.

Skills:

  • Rotating equipment maintenance and planning

  • SAP-PM Maintenance Transactions and Prometheus

  • Pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, and cooling towers

  • Preventive/predictive maintenance and vibration analysis

  • Maintenance planning, scheduling, backlog management, and BOMs

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience:

  • 12 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience; or 7 years with an associate degree; or 4 years with a bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance planning/scheduling experience.

  • Millwright experience or vocational/technical certification.

  • Experience planning rotating equipment and cooling tower maintenance.

  • Ability to obtain a TWIC credential within a reasonable timeframe.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb stairs and vertical ladders and work at heights of 100+ feet.

  • Ability to safely perform physical maintenance-related activities and work at a computer for extended periods.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
