Title: Clinical Research Coordinator II RN (GI/IBD) Location: Downtown Orlando (AdventHealth Hospital / Rothman Clinic) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Occasional Early Start: Some study protocols require earlier procedures, but this is infrequent. Type: Permanent

Overview AdventHealth is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II RN to support its growing Digestive Health research program in downtown Orlando. This person will primarily support GI and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) studies, with additional exposure to digestive health, endoscopy, and other therapeutic research programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about patient care and interested in building a long-term career in clinical research. Research experience is highly preferred, but strong GI/IBD nursing experience can also translate well into the role

Job Description The Clinical Research Coordinator II RN will support AdventHealth's Digestive Health research program, with a primary focus on Gastroenterology (GI) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) clinical trials. This individual will work closely with physicians, patients, sponsors, and research teams to coordinate all aspects of clinical studies while ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. This role combines patient care and research responsibilities, allowing nurses to remain clinically engaged while contributing to the development of new therapies and treatments. The ideal candidate will bring either clinical research experience or a strong nursing background in GI, IBD, endoscopy, digestive health, or infusion services, along with a genuine interest in building a long-term career in clinical research. As AdventHealth continues to expand its digestive health research portfolio, this position offers the opportunity to work on a growing pipeline of studies and help advance treatment options for patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Coordinate and manage GI/IBD clinical research studies Screen potential study participants and determine eligibility Educate patients on study participation and obtain informed consent Execute study visits according to research protocols Perform clinical assessments and collect study-related data Collaborate with physicians, research coordinators, sponsors, and study teams Track protocol compliance and ensure accurate documentation Administer investigational medications and treatments when required Monitor participants throughout the study process Maintain high-quality regulatory and research documentation

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves: Active Florida RN license ADN or BSN in Nursing BLS Certification RN experience in one of the following: GI (Gastroenterology) IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) Endoscopy Digestive Health Infusion Therapy Research experience Interest in clinical research as a long-term career Plusses: Clinical research experience CCRC (Certified Clinical Research Coordinator) Experience supporting research studies or clinical trials
