License and Certification Qualifications:
- Network+ and A+ Preferred
Education Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree or equivalent Required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications:
- Experience working in a data center, NOC or similar environment Required
- 2 years ' experience in data processing Preferred
Skills Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of Network Operations Center (NOC) support/system monitoring
- Ability to learn specific guidelines in completing operating responsibilities
- Ability to communicate and work well with staff and user departments
- Ability to schedule and process daily activities
- Ability to manage assigned projects
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately
- Ability to analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work well under pressure and in emergencies
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring data center infrastructure including environment, systems, and network services via provided monitoring dashboards and procedures. Responsible for monitoring automated job processing and executing run requests using BMC Control-M. Responsible for monitoring and performing directed tasks on data center equipment. Responsible for completing assigned payroll processes, printing paychecks and other mass print jobs. Responsible for updating asset inventory and racking/un-racking servers and network wiring as needed. Be available to work after hours or on a weekend 3-4 times a year if needed.

Monitor data center infrastructure equipment, and interface with vendors for maintenance and repairs. Be proficient in data center emergency procedures.

Monitor Wide Area Network (WAN) as directed by WAN group to support network access.

Create tickets within the established ticketing system to address data center facility, network and/or system related alerts.

Communicate and escalate issues to ensure prompt resolution of user impacting events.

Monitor school cameras and create/assign incidents to the Risk Response Team.

Print payroll checks. Execute and print payroll reports.

Print and process tax forms and student transcripts.

Utilize and maintain data center equipment such as high speed printers and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) printers.

Monitor existing Control-M automated jobs and process tickets for adding new jobs with user department assistance.

Maintain clear inter-shift communications to accomplish the desired work flow of each specified processing day.

Monitor and order inventory for the data center. •

Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
