Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Integration Platform Developer / Technical Lead to design, develop, and support enterprise integration solutions that connect SaaS, cloud, ERP, and internally developed applications.

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role responsible for developing integration services, APIs, events, message flows, protocol adapters, and reusable platform capabilities. The successful candidate will independently lead complex integration initiatives from requirements and solution design through development, testing, deployment, production stabilization, and ongoing support.

The role will provide technical direction, establish integration standards, guide application teams onboarding to the enterprise integration platform, mentor developers, and influence platform architecture. The individual will work closely with product, architecture, security, infrastructure, DevOps, business application, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, secure, supportable, and reusable integration solutions.

The position will support Finance and other enterprise application portfolios, including integrations with Oracle ERP and SaaS platforms, while helping advance the organization’s broader cloud, API, event-driven, and Finance transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise APIs, integration services, event-driven solutions, message flows, protocol adapters, and file-based interfaces connecting cloud, SaaS, ERP, and internal applications.

  • Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of complex integration initiatives, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, risk management, production deployment, stabilization, and ongoing support.

  • Develop reusable integration components, services, templates, frameworks, and implementation patterns that reduce point-to-point interfaces and improve delivery consistency across application teams.

  • Lead onboarding of applications to the enterprise integration platform by providing technical guidance, reviewing integration designs, resolving platform dependencies, and ensuring compliance with security and engineering standards.

  • Contribute to platform architecture, API lifecycle management, system design, capacity planning, scalability, resiliency, observability, and long-term technology roadmaps.

  • Establish and promote engineering standards for API design, messaging, data transformation, exception handling, retries, idempotency, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, and operational support.

  • Develop clean, scalable, maintainable, secure, well-tested, and documented code. Lead design and code reviews and ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture, performance, security, audit, and compliance requirements.

  • Collaborate with product, architecture, security, infrastructure, QA, DevOps, business application, and vendor teams to translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into scalable integration solutions.

  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, integrations, messaging platforms, databases, cloud services, and dependent applications; perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment automation, monitoring, and platform engineering improvements that increase delivery efficiency and operational reliability.

  • Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert by mentoring developers, communicating design decisions and tradeoffs, coordinating delivery across teams, and influencing technical direction.

  • Use approved AI-assisted development tools to improve development, testing, documentation, and code-review efficiency while maintaining engineering, security, privacy, and quality standards.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise applications, APIs, backend services, or integration platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering integration solutions across SaaS, cloud, packaged, ERP, and internally developed applications.

  • Experience supporting large-scale, highly integrated, business-critical production platforms and services.

  • Proven ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives across multiple applications and cross-functional teams, including design, development, testing, implementation, risk management, deployment, and post-production support.

  • Strong technical leadership and engineering judgment, with experience leading design and code reviews, mentoring developers, establishing standards, and influencing technical direction.

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills across applications, APIs, integrations, messaging technologies, databases, infrastructure, and cloud services.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical decisions, alternatives, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment with concurrent platform, project-delivery, production-support, and modernization priorities.

Required Core Technical Skills

  • Strong experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations using REST and SOAP services, APIs, JSON, XML, and FTP/SFTP interfaces.

  • Experience with Enterprise integration platform such as— API gateways (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway), protocol adapters/translation (SOAP, WCF, gRPC, XML-RPC), message brokers (Solace, Kafka, SQS/SNS), and file-based ingestion pipelines (SFTP/S3 → ETL/Lambda).

  • Experience with API gateways, enterprise integration platforms, protocol adapters, message brokers, event-driven architectures, and file-ingestion patterns.

  • Experience designing mappings, transformations, validations, routing, orchestration, exception handling, retries, idempotency, reconciliation, logging, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns, distributed systems, microservices, scalability, resiliency, fault tolerance, and failure handling.

  • Experience with API security and authentication patterns, including OAuth 2.0, certificates, tokens, secrets, and service-to-service access controls.

  • Experience developing reusable integration services and patterns and supporting application onboarding to a shared enterprise platform.

Software Engineering and Platform Engineering

  • Proficiency in at least one enterprise backend language, such as Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or Go.

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL; exposure to NoSQL databases where applicable.

  • Experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with Git-based source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management, and production support.

  • Ability to create clear technical designs, interface specifications, support documentation, operational runbooks, and architecture diagrams.

  • Hands-on experience using approved AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing and validating generated code, tests, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or comparable technologies.

  • Experience with CDC and real-time data replication technologies such as AWS DMS, or comparable tools.

  • Familiarity with schema and contract-management practices for APIs, messages, and events.

  • Experience with platform observability, operational dashboards, distributed tracing, metrics, logs, and alerting.

  • Experience operating in SOX, PCI, or similarly regulated enterprise environments.

  • Experience designing, developing, or supporting integrations with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Oracle Integration Cloud, Quantum Treasury, Coupa, Concur, Workday, or comparable enterprise platforms.

  • Experience supporting Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, Projects, Supply Chain, or related enterprise business processes.

  • Experience mentoring developers and onboarding application teams to a shared enterprise platform.

Nice to Have: AI and Agentic Development

  • Experience building or integrating AI agents involving task planning, tool calling, and multistep workflows.

  • Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or comparable technologies.

  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or similar governed tool-integration approaches.

  • Experience using AI-assisted workflows for test generation, technical documentation, code analysis, or code reviews.
