Job Description
Break a feature or wireframe down into clear, scoped tasks, surfacing unknowns and dependencies early Use the Unreal Editor to build and maintain UI with Widget Blueprints and create logic with Blueprint scripting Architect robust, reusable component systems that stay flexible as designs change Implement data-driven UI through ViewModels and view bindings, working closely with UI Engineering Build for every player, accounting for screen sizes and safe areas, localization, and accessibility Design within performance and memory budgets, profiling the cost of UMG, Slate, C++, and texture memory Collaborate closely with UX, UI Art, and Engineering, improving workflows, pipelines, and documentation, and giving feedback as readily as you accept it
Skills and Requirements
3-5+ Professional experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred) Strong hands-on experience with UMG, CommonUI/DynamicUI, and MVVM Strong Blueprint scripting experience Experience implementing UI from provided Figma designs and wireframes Understanding of C++ concepts and data types sufficient to work closely with engineers Experience building and maintaining reusable UI systems and components Experience diagnosing, debugging, and optimizing UI performance Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team of designers, artists, and engineers Prior AAA game development experience Experience supporting live-service products Exposure to Unreal Insights and UI profiling tools Familiarity with Slate C++ development experience
