As an Imaging Library Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine computer operations for the Image Library using Hospital Information Systems (H.I.S.), Radiology Information Systems (R.I.S.) and PACS (Picture Archival Communication Systems). This role is integral to the transfer of imaging for all patients moving inbound and outbound of the Cleveland Clinic system as well as providing services to patients when needed. This position is worthwhile for anyone who is looking to be an important part of the healthcare system with a focus in patient service rather than medical care.

There is ongoing encouragement to attend classes within Cleveland Clinic system for professional development, reaching beyond the scope of their current position. Cleveland Clinic will reimburse tuition for higher education opportunities. There are also many opportunities to move around the clinic system as skills and connections develop.

A caregiver in this position works Saturday through Wednesday from 2:30PM to 11:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide customer service through incoming phone calls and websites.

• Import and export images and imaging information using computer operations and media.

• Digitize analog images into PACS.

• Process image requests from patients, providers and caregivers using R.I.S., H.I.S. and other computer applications.

• Maintain all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards regarding Protected Health Information (P.H.I.).

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

• Typing to operate CRT with a proficiency of 30WPM

Physical Requirements:

• Requires prolonged sitting, standing and walking.
• Occasional bending, stooping and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Manual dexterity to operate PC and other basic office equipment; keyboard data entry.
• Requires ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.
• Vision in normal range.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment.
