Account Executive — Higher Education Partnerships
Location: New York City (Hybrid) Type: Full-Time Compensation: $90k Base + $90k OTE + + Meaningful Early-Stage Equity
About Kollegio Kollegio is an AI-native platform on a mission to democratize access to college counseling — guidance that has historically been reserved for families who can afford it. Roughly 74% of students never receive professional counseling support, and we’re changing that.
For students, Kollegio is a free AI college counselor that helps them navigate admissions, scholarships, and opportunities. For colleges and universities, we’re a modern student recruitment and enrollment platform with reach into an engaged, high-intent audience.
The traction speaks for itself:
- 250K+ students across 190 countries
- 25 institutional partners and growing
- Strong net revenue retention, zero logo churn, and a $2 blended CAC
- Backed by Reach Capital (lead), JFF Ventures, ECMC Group, Tuesday Capital, and Indus Valley Capital
- Selected for OpenAI’s ChatGPT Futures Class of 2026
About the Role We are hiring an Account Executive to own new business acquisition across higher education. This is a full-cycle sales role for a high-ownership builder who can source, pitch, negotiate, and close new institutional partnerships while shaping our go-to-market strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for new institutional business — from prospecting and discovery through negotiation and close.
- Build and manage a pipeline of colleges and universities, targeting admissions, enrollment, and recruitment decision-makers.
- Run sharp, consultative discovery to understand each institution’s enrollment goals and tie Kollegio’s value directly to them.
- Deliver compelling demos and pitches that lead with data and our two-sided marketplace advantage.
- Negotiate pricing and partnership terms, and close deals that set partners up for strong retention.
- Partner closely with growth and AI teams to relay market feedback and shape our go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain tight CRM hygiene (HubSpot) and forecast accurately.
- Represent Kollegio at conferences, events, and in front of enrollment leaders.
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, specifically closing new logos (SaaS, edtech, higher ed, or marketplace experience a strong plus).
- A proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota.
- Comfort selling to senior decision-makers and navigating multi-stakeholder buying processes.
- Strong consultative instincts — you listen first, then connect the dots between a buyer’s goals and your product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; you can make a data-driven case and tell a mission-driven story.
- A builder’s mindset — you thrive in an early-stage, fast-moving environment and don’t wait to be told what to do.
- Fluency with modern sales tooling (CRM, outreach, enrichment).
Nice to Have
- Experience selling into higher education or to admissions/enrollment teams.
- Familiarity with the AI or edtech landscape.
- An existing network of relationships across colleges and universities.
What We Offer
- Compensation: $90k Base + $90k OTE
- Equity: Meaningful early-stage ownership.
- NYC HQ: Work alongside the core team at our New York City headquarters.
- Mission: Sell something that genuinely expands access and opportunity for students.
- Growth: Get in early on the institutional side and grow with the company.
How to Apply:
- If this seems like you and excited to drive real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
