Join Sunrise Senior Living as an Employee Relations Specialist supporting employee relations, HR compliance, workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation across our organization. You'll help manage employee relations cases, provide early intervention, and partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Area HR Managers, senior HR leaders, and Legal to promote a consistent, compliant, and positive workplace environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations cases through intake, triage, documentation, escalation, and resolution using an HR case management or ticketing system.
  • Conduct and support employee relations investigations, including employee and witness interviews, fact-finding, documentation, timelines, findings, and recommendations.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies while supporting consistent performance management and corrective action practices.
  • Assess employee concerns, identify risk and escalation indicators, and provide early intervention to help prevent issues from escalating.
  • Partner with HRBPs, Area HR Managers, Regional HR leaders, Legal, Risk, and other stakeholders on complex employee relations matters.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case records while meeting service-level expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Support employment law compliance, ER training, case reviews, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of Human Resources or Employee Relations experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations cases, workplace investigations, HR case management, conflict resolution, or employee concerns.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance; Canadian employment law experience is a plus.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, confidentiality, and ability to manage sensitive employee matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
