Amergis is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Austin, Texas .
? Full-Time, In-Person
? 37.5 Hours Per Week
? 37-Week Contract
? Start Date: August 31, 2026
? Competitive Pay: $45/hour

Responsibilities
-
Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services
-
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
-
Complete required documentation and therapy-related activities
-
Support students in achieving communication goals while working within the established plan of care
Requirements
-
Graduate of an SLPA program with an Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
-
Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
-
Current SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state
-
One year of SLPA experience preferred

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Current health screening requirements as applicable

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
-
Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
-
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
-
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
