Full job description

Join a leadership team focused on advancing software quality, verification, and test excellence across a portfolio of regulated products. In this role, you will lead software test strategy, team development, and execution oversight while partnering across engineering, quality, regulatory, and program functions to support the delivery of compliant, high-quality software solutions. This position combines people leadership, technical oversight, and operational execution in a dynamic product development environment.

What You Will Do

  • Lead software test and verification activities across a product portfolio, establishing priorities, execution plans, and quality objectives.

  • Build, develop, and grow a high-performing software test organization through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and talent development.

  • Define and implement software test strategies, automation approaches, test infrastructure improvements, and quality metrics.

  • Provide technical leadership for software testing, verification, validation, automation, and release-readiness activities.

  • Guide teams in developing risk-based test strategies, test coverage approaches, and quality objectives aligned with product requirements.

  • Oversee defect management, root-cause analysis, and quality-driven decision making to support product quality and compliance.

  • Partner with Software Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and program teams to align testing activities with project objectives and timelines.

  • Ensure software testing activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, quality systems, design controls, verification standards, and objective evidence expectations.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or applicable technical field.

  • 6+ years applicable experience, with 0+ years direct people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in software test engineering, verification and validation, test automation, defect management, traceability, and regulated product development.

  • Experience developing or leading software test strategies for complex embedded, connected, or regulated products.

  • Experience using test metrics, defect trends, coverage analysis, and release-readiness criteria to communicate quality status and support decision making.

  • Experience executing talent management and team development strategies.

  • Experience leading software test programs and delivering verification milestones, quality objectives, and project deliverables.

  • Experience communicating software test plans, quality risks, defect trends, and technical information to cross-functional stakeholders.

  • $102,600 - $171,000 USD Annual
