AI / Automation Engineering Lead

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire an Automation Engineering Team Lead to build and scale a newly established Automation Engineering function focused on AI-powered solutions, intelligent automation, and process optimization across the enterprise. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with business stakeholders, identifying automation opportunities, and helping define the future of automation strategy. While experience with UiPath and RPA technologies is important, this is not a traditional UiPath Developer position. Instead, the ideal candidate will bring a consultative mindset, strong business process analysis skills, and the ability to evaluate automation opportunities across a variety of platforms and technologies. The Automation Engineering Team Lead will help shape the vision, roadmap, governance, and long-term strategy for enterprise automation initiatives, including Microsoft Copilot agents, AI-driven solutions, RPA platforms, Power Platform tools, and custom automation workflows. This individual will play a key role in establishing standards, prioritizing automation demand, and determining where automation can deliver meaningful business value.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience delivering intelligent automation, RPA, AI, or process automation solutions. Experience leading automation initiatives across multiple business functions. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience conducting process discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and workflow analysis. Experience evaluating automation opportunities and determining automation feasibility. Experience with APIs, SQL, and system integration concepts. Working knowledge of UiPath or a similar RPA platform. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and/or Microsoft Copilot Studio. Familiarity with transportation, logistics, fleet management, or related industries.
