Full-time Hospitalist Advanced Practitioner: Days

Ellis Medicine is seeking a full-time Hospitalist APP to join our collaborative and supportive inpatient team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP or new graduate looking to practice alongside hospitalists and a multidisciplinary care team in a well-supported hospital medicine environment.

Our APPs play an integral role in the care of hospitalized patients, working collaboratively with physicians while managing a dedicated patient census. The practice offers a predictable schedule, strong physician support, broad specialty resources and no required procedures.

Position Highlights

• Full-time Hospital Medicine APP

• Schedule consists of 7 shifts per biweekly pay period

• 12-hour shifts

• Day Shift Schedule: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

• Strong physician collaboration and support

• Closed ICU

• No procedures required

• Access to a broad range of specialty services

Clinical Responsibilities

Hospitalist APPs will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including:

• Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients

• Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans

• Admission and discharge management

• Coordination of care with physicians, nursing, consultants, patients and families

• Communicating treatment plans with patients and families

• Participation in multidisciplinary care planning

• Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services

• Providing high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care

Qualifications

• Current NP or PA certification

• Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State

• Hospital medicine or inpatient experience preferred but not required

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care

• Competitive Salary Range of $143,008–$160,174 with the ability to earn more through productivity

• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
