This position is applicable for MRI, Tech 1 with less than two years of related work experience and MRI, Tech 2 with two years or more of related work experience.

Scope of work

Provides health care services, applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Role model for comprehensive care, addressing the physiological and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families and acts as a resource to other MRI staff in managing complex issues. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift. Assists in and facilitates employee development.

Qualifications

  • Required Associate's Degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program or the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT).

  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years of relevant MRI experience Required

  • CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required or CRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist -ARMRIT Upon Hire required

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
