Overview

Pharmacy Technician Community Memorial Hospital Department: Pharmacy Schedule: 32 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

Join the Pharmacy team at Community Memorial Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician and play an important role in supporting safe, efficient medication services throughout the hospital. In this position, you’ll work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to help ensure medications and pharmacy supplies are prepared, organized, and available when patients and care teams need them.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize medication inventory to support daily pharmacy operations.

  • Order, receive, unpack, and stock medications and pharmacy supplies.

  • Monitor inventory for expired or outdated medications and remove them appropriately.

  • Prepare unit-dose medications and medications for automated dispensing system refills.

  • Deliver medications and pharmacy supplies to departments throughout the hospital.

  • Support accurate processing and categorization of pharmacy invoices.

  • Assist with auditing and maintaining documentation related to the 340B program.

  • Respond to pharmacy-related questions within the appropriate scope and collaborate with pharmacists as needed.

  • Use pharmacy technology and computer systems to support accurate, efficient workflows.

  • Provide additional pharmacy support under the direction of the pharmacist.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy tech experience

Certification:

  • Must be certified as a pharmacy technician with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy
