Scheduling Coordinator

The Arc Chemung-Schuyler | Elmira, NY

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and great at solving scheduling challenges? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your work directly impacts employees and the people they support? The Arc Chemung-Schuyler is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team and help ensure staffing coverage across our residential and support programs.

As a Scheduling Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in coordinating staff schedules, filling open shifts, managing call-offs, and helping maintain quality services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, scheduling experience, and a passion for supporting both employees and the people we serve.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll create and maintain employee schedules, coordinate shift coverage, and respond to staffing needs as they arise. You'll communicate regularly with managers and employees regarding schedule changes, overtime opportunities, and staffing shortages. You'll monitor attendance, track staffing trends, and help ensure compliance with staffing requirements.

You'll use scheduling software and other systems to manage workforce needs, update records, and generate reports. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and confidence making decisions in a fast-moving environment.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who thrives on organization and problem-solving. The ideal candidate has experience with employee scheduling, workforce coordination, customer service, administrative support, or staffing management.

You should be comfortable working with multiple priorities, communicating professionally with employees and supervisors, and using computer systems to manage schedules and employee information. Experience in healthcare, human services, residential services, workforce management, staffing coordination, or employee scheduling is a plus.
