Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a remote Automation Design Engineer with Medical Device experience. This person will be traveling 50% of the time to supplier sites and client manufacturing sites (EU, LATAM and US) to support automation set up of assembly lines as well as transfer to permanent sites. Other responsibilities include being able to support build of assembly lines, ability to interface with customers, ensure projects are embedded with site teams for seamless transitions, troubleshooting all aspects of automation design and ensure compliance, safety and quality of program initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics/Electrical or Manufacturing).

  • Minimum 10 years working experience specifically within automation equipment design and installation.

  • Electro-Mechanical Medical Device experience - understanding of FDA requirements as it pertains to design and manufacturing of medical devices.

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time - majority of travel will be Nashville, Baja/Tijuana Mexico, Dominican Republican, potentially other sites in the future.

  • Knowledge of complex manufacturing environments and techniques.

    • Preferred home location in South or Southeast US. Ability to get direct flights.
  • Bilingual Spanish.
