Job Description

Job Description:

Bring your leadership, operating rigor, and strategic execution skills to a high-impact role that helps shape how finance products deliver outcomes at scale. You will work closely with senior leaders to align priorities, accelerate delivery, and strengthen the operating cadence across a complex, matrixed environment.

As a Product Portfolio Operations Director at JPMorganChase within Consumer & Community Banking Finance Product and Transformation, you will lead portfolio operations and strategic execution across multiple finance product areas and partner portfolios. You will enable clear decision-making, executive-ready communications, and measurable progress against enterprise priorities, while helping leaders drive change management and organizational effectiveness. You will also support talent and engagement outcomes for a product organization, ensuring teams stay focused on what matters most.

Job responsibilities

  • Serve as chief of staff to the head of product, driving executive action tracking, meeting preparation, decision follow-through, and leadership communications

  • Coordinate cross-product initiatives, aligning plans, roadmaps, metrics, and best practices with finance and partner leadership teams

  • Produce executive-ready updates and materials that clearly communicate progress, trade-offs, risks, and decisions needed

  • Drive portfolio prioritization and investment trade-off discussions, articulating options and expected benefits in a clear, outcomes-focused way

  • Lead change management coordination across product, technology, data, design, and key partner functions to improve execution and adoption

  • Shape enablement strategies for new tools and ways of working for a large finance employee population, focusing on adoption and measurable impact

  • Operate as a front door and triage point for forecasting transformation work, ensuring clear intake, alignment, and delivery coordination

  • Track and report productivity outcomes, translating improvements into insights that inform reinvestment and resourcing decisions

  • Benchmark portfolio operations against leading product organizations and apply improvements to portfolio cadence, governance, and reporting

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team responsible for portfolio management, metrics, and reporting, setting high standards for quality and execution

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on product portfolio operations concepts and 10+ years applied experience

  • Three years of experience leading and developing teams, including setting priorities, coaching, and driving accountability

  • Demonstrated ability to execute cross-portfolio initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple senior stakeholders

  • Proven track record delivering strategic initiatives within finance, data, or product management environments

  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, manage trade-offs, and drive alignment across functions

  • Strong executive communications skills, including concise writing, storytelling, and creating leadership-ready materials

  • Bias for action and sound judgment when operating with incomplete information, ambiguity, or shifting priorities

  • Strong analytical and operational rigor, including defining metrics, tracking outcomes, and improving operating cadence

  • Proficiency with common work management and productivity tools (for example, Jira, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the ability to learn modern data platforms quickly

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience supporting finance modernization, forecasting transformation, or process and controls modernization initiatives

  • Experience building and running portfolio operating cadences (for example, objectives and key results, quarterly planning, and governance routines)

  • Familiarity with modern data platforms (for example, Databricks) and AI-assisted tooling to improve workflow productivity

  • Experience partnering with legal, risk, compliance, controls, human resources, and recruiting to drive smooth execution and governance

  • Experience designing enablement and adoption strategies for enterprise tooling changes at scale
