SAP Lead Program Manager

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Program Manager to sit within the central Program Management Office (PMO) of a large-scale, enterprise-wide SAP transformation.

This role works above the individual project teams. Project Managers within each tower handle execution against their tower's roadmap. The Lead Program Manager oversees the full program. They make sure work is directed to the right teams, change requests and operational elements are brought in and managed, and deliverables, milestones, and success measures are defined and tracked. This person will connect plans, dependencies, and risks across workstreams so the program runs as one integrated delivery team. They will help set up how the PMO operates, bring cross-functional teams together, remove roadblocks, escalate risks, and make dependencies across workstreams clear. The role will also help build program roadmaps and assess capacity, so leadership understands where the program needs to staff up.

This is a highly visible role. The right candidate will have strong leadership presence, communicate and influence confidently at the VP level, solve problems proactively, and bring a strong sense of pace and urgency. They must be a self-starter who can drive structure and accountability with little direction.

Skills and Requirements

7–10 years of Program Management or Project Management experience SAP or S/4HANA transformation experience Experience working within or helping stand up a central PMO on a large, complex program Experience leading and managing Project Managers across multiple workstreams or towers Strong experience with scope management, stage management, and change control, including managing change requests and tracking approvals Experience defining and tracking program-level deliverables, milestones, and success measures Strong ability to connect plans, milestones, dependencies, and risks across workstreams into one integrated view Experience owning program-level status reporting for senior leadership Experience driving risk and issue escalation and working roadblocks through to resolution Experience building and maintaining program roadmaps •Experience on enterprise ERP programs led by system integrators or consulting partners Experience standing up a PMO from scratch or maturing an existing one Fortune 500 transformation experience Supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, or building-materials industry experience PMP, PgMP, Agile, or SAFe certification
