Summary
About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Army Field Support Battalion, Supply & Services Division at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
- Performs supply technical duties supporting documentary control and accountability of ammunition and related items.
- Provides customer support and resolves issues related to ammunition issue, turn-in, documentation, and signature card control.
- Establishes and maintains automated stock accounting records, posting receipts, issues, turn-ins, inventory adjustments, and related ammunition data.
- Processes inbound and outbound ammunition shipment documentation, coordinates transportation requirements, and prepares required movement forms.
- Prepares recurring and special ammunition reports, performs database inquiries, updates automated files, and maintains supply and inventory documentation.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees Applying on Time-Limited Assignments In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) maintaining records to track quantities and/or locations of supplies; 2) using automated systems to enter and/or update routine transactions; AND 3) receiving/storing supplies to support basic operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-5 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.

You will be evaluated based on how well you meet the qualifications listed in this vacancy announcement. This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
